Circumstances

Everything we do
Whatever excites our fancies
Circumstances come in control
Surrounding our plans; reshaping our future
Sometimes for good; sometimes for bad

Newton of the ancient repute
Just as the scientist admonished
There is always reaction in every action
Thus, circumstances surround my being
Splashing red-green-yellow light on my ways

When I can see the bright future ahead
My dreams ready to carry me through
Circumstances come with ugly game
Blocking my way to the brighter future
And for this I hate you O circumstances!

Sometimes you could save
From bodily harm and torture
Even psychological trauma
When you prevent my physical presence
from a scene of fatal disaster

Around man, circumstances always hang
To become his guidance in the life’s struggles
From the womb to the tomb, they lead
And when circumstances are in control
We must learn to save strength for another day.
