I plead guilty, forgive me.

I failed many times to care
I forgot many times to love
I stood gigantic in my selfishness
I plead guilty, forgive me

I remember your consistent faithfulness
I bow in awe for your loving kindness
I am really unworthy of your love
I plead guilty, forgive me

I lost the treasure at my feet

While busy chasing futility up the sky
Realized me now that nothing can asunder
On bended knees, I plead guilty, pardon me

You are my hope in hopelessness
You are my treasure, my comforter
Too late for me to realize your true love
As I was busy hanging out with wrong folks

Come back to me oh wasted past
That I may relive those memories once with you
That we may never have reason to separate again
Never to have a cause to plead this guilty anymore
