I’m the alumnus of my Alma Mater

I belong to the elite and the learned

Disciplined with strong academic tradition

Wearied, broken, twisted, I survived

I share strong bond with people of letters

Bigard is the tradition I owe my allegiance

In the humble neighborhood of coal city

I studied, I kept vigil, I waited

Welcomed by Archbishop of Onitsha

And was sent-forth by Bishop of Awgu.

Valerian and John, Okeke and Okoye

Irrefutable theologians of great repute

Yes, I passed through my Alma Mater

When two Bishops reigned supreme

Unforgettable experiences of Bigard

And I still owe my allegiance to the citadel.
