The enemies I call friends

Their hearts set to deceive
While their tongues sweet coated
I sent trust to my frienemies
Then, they vowed to escort me to my early grave
Friends indeed, what else?
Hearts closed, perpetually plotting evil

A friend sees me down the pit
His mocking laughter vibrated the tunnel
But truly I must pass-over this bridge
I must repay you with your evil coin
Evils that men do, live with them
Man reaps from his garden
Hail to my God of quick justice

The enemies I call friends
Why are you persecuting me?
With no access to repentance
But I always pray to God
and He will soon visit with justice
to save me from this deadly clutches
