War Against My Shadow

Entirely engulfed in fears
I fear my shadow, I fear my friends
Enemies at their best antics
But better off in their world apart

If I have a friend like you
Then I need not an enemy
But both roles you have played
And crushed my bones to the dust

You’ve found out my weakness
And expose your friend’s anatomy
To vultures and scavengers
Waiting the final nail on my coffin

War started; the city is boiling
War against my shadow, my essence
To trust the betrayer is illusion
And only posterity can halt this war

The end of the war, far-fetched
Missiles, bombs and bullets
joined the fight against my shadow
I wish hence that it lasts for ages
